A How-To: Chronic Conditions.

So before I begin this How-to I want you to know that this is a blog prompt given to me from a host in the chat room of Starbright World. SBW is an online community for kids and teens with chronic illnesses and their siblings. As some of you may know I have had life long medical issues due to Mitochondrial Disease. So this is a how to with what I’ve learned over my life…….

So, you just got diagnosed with a chronic illness. CONGRATULATIONS! You are now part of an exclusive club! From being diagnosed at birth to diagnosed in your teens or into adult hood we all have to make some changes to our life style. For those of you who haven’t had the luxury to have been diagnosed at birth and are having to deal with a lot of new dietary or physical limitations, here are some tips just for you!

Get a Dry Erase Board, or Several…

Now this one might be for food, but its the same basic concept. Draw the days of the week on there, or get fancy magnets like I did, in any way you want. You can draw lines, you can makes squares for a mini calender, whatever your little heart desires. Here’s the key as to why I say this. It is going to get hard to want to do everything you have to, but it is oh so satisfying to be able to cross it off for the day. A long while back I used mine medically because I had gotten so bad, but now I use it for everyday things! Write down ALL of your procedures, medication times, special activities such as flushing a line with Saline and Hepron or doing a breathing treatment. This nifty thing can even come in handy for keeping track of upcoming Doctor’s appointments among other things.

Get Rid Of All Bad Food!

It might be a temptation to use up the rest of what you’ve got int the house that is no longer on your diet, but the Doctor’s are just doing what’s right for you so you must listen to them! Get a friend or family member to go on your diet with you so you have someone who can help you and know what’s going on. It is not going to be easy and this is one of the many reasons why its better to have been diagnosed at birth, but you will get through it. Go online and find some great recipes using Ingredient Trackers. They can help you find some great things to eat that are actually good for you, but look just as amazing as all the junk food you could have before. Super Cook not only searches recipes by ingredient, but it also excludes by restrictions such as gluten free and no nuts and individual ingredients.

Start Working on Those Excuses

So all of these would be excellent examples, but make sure to come up with some convincing ones of your own related to your specific illness. They come in handy for some of those days where you just don’t want to get up out of bed. Eventually though, you’ll learn when its best to pull it off and when you shouldn’t because if you use it too much you might not be believed when you are really feeling down and out.

Board Games Are Now Your Life!

Get used to it, you’re going to have a lot of free time on your hands during the bad times. I have a giant bag full of Board Games to take to the hospital and it even has my name on it. You quickly become a pro at playing all 8 players of monopoly by yourself while getting both a sick pleasure of demolishing yourself and hating that you were crushed to a pulp. On the plus side you can cheat a bit and the only one you’re hurting is yourself! I once got so good at Connect four that it got to the point where my Mother was the only one who could beat me, I was the self crowned champion of the fifth floor, I pretty much made my social worker cry and swear off connect four, she still refuses to play with me years later, and I took on a two doctor team that was getting help from a whole playroom full of kids and child life specialists who had played me and I still kicked their butts. They were in fact trying very hard to beat me because they were very upset that they didn’t, they also had to get back to work and I think that upset them more.

Get a Mirror

You’re going to get good at talking to yourself just to entertain yourself so you might as well have someone to look at besides a wall even if it is your reflection. It’s okay to call yourself crazy, I do daily.

Books are Your New Best Friend

You’ll be surprised how quickly you can be absorbed into a world and be left wanting more. It also magically makes the sun go away and the moon come out much faster then normal.

You’ll Always Be Waiting for the New Season

Netflix, Hulu, TV,or other. These are going to become boring because you will have trouble finding something new to watch. Have fun waiting for the new Season!

Reorganize Your Bathroom Storage

Adelaide's Cabinet

All those medications have to go somewhere! Eventually there will be no room left for anything but!

Now all that’s left to do is figure out what to do with all those empty pill bottles….

Eh….I guess we’re ready for Halloween!

How to – Make-up Purse

I know I have been on a bit of a hiatus lately, but I have this post and another lined up to coordinate with my Mother’s post for back to school. For this one it is a simple fix on an everyday problem for girls. Ever find your purse is lacking in space? Wish you had the right size purse for the occasion without having to go to large or just barely too small? Wish the color was different? Well I have the perfect trick for you. I was getting ready to go to the Orange International Street fair with Mom and Luke when I realized I had too much to put in my purse. The only larger size I had was a tote and I had no idea what to do. I looked in my closet and couldn’t find anything else so I looked around my room and found the perfect thing.

If this is what your purse looks like on a daily basis, jam packed full of things you need…

image (5)

But you don’t need a tote this size for those few small things…

image (6)

And you have one of these makeup bags…

Well then I guess you are set!

Your smaller purse will need to have a detachable handle or shoulder strap like this…

image (4)

And the zipper of the makeup bag to only be attached along the sides and not at either end, like this…

image (14) image (15)

Otherwise this trick doesn’t work.

Detach it, like so, from the one side…

image (8)

Place your purse inside the makeup bag and thread the strap through the hole created by the zipper…

image (7)

You have now created more space on the sides of your original purse.

image (2)

I can list for you what I have where even so you can get an idea of what all you can place inside your new purse as well as where you can put them.

image (16)

Here inside my smaller purse I have my wallet, keys, compact, lipstick, lip-brush and hand sanitizer.

image (17)

On the backside of the smaller purse, due to the decoration on the front, I have my phone and iTouch with its ear buds. By doing that the metal studs on the front decoration aren’t scratching my screens.

image (18)

On the front side of the smaller purse I have a pen and some lip balm. just some small items that I will use often enough in an easy location and they are items that you wouldn’t mind being scratched by the studs. You can also add a hair tie or a small notepad there as well as you would use them just as often for things and they wouldn’t get scratched.

Two additional things and then you can be on your way with your new purse.

1. Since the purse is only attached on the one corner, at least with this particular make-up bag, if you unzip it while its on your side, then this might happen…

The make-up bag will dangle and things might fall out. Take for instance, my hand sanitizer, at the street fair I needed to pack up from the concert the final night of The American Wake that Mom, Luke and I saw and I didn’t realize it had fallen out. It almost got left behind until I looked down, as I always do to keep from tripping, and I bent down to pick it up. Its a good thing my habit of being a klutz has trained me to watch my feet when walking or else the hand Sanitizer would have been left behind.

2. The fun thing about detachable purses is that they come with nifty locks already built in! No more worrying about if someone might slip their hand inside while you aren’t paying to close of an attention to your belongings.

Take your Make-up Purse and unlatch the strap on the side the slider of the zipper is on when closed. Do not take it off but loop the hook through the loop on the draw strap part of the zipper, like below.

image (3)

Now here I have it going through the smaller purse first, but now you can do this a second time through the Make-up bag’s zipper for added security.

image (1)

Anyone who tries has to unlatch it which causes more movement of the purse then they would like and it would alert you if it is on your person, but they also run the risk of the purse and its items falling on the floor if you have the purse on the back of a chair. Its a simple trick that helps to deter any sneaky thieves.

Swiper, no swiping

For those that don’t know who this clever little fox is, this is Swiper the Fox. Dora constantly has to tell him to stop swiping on her show, Dora the Explorer. Sometimes he succeeds, but most of the time he snaps his fingers and says ‘Aww Man’ before running away. Even though I never truly liked the show I’ve always loved how Swiper gets shut down, so I had to add this…

So just from me simply seeing a makeup bag on my desk I have managed to make a whole post for you!!!! The fun thing about the makeup bags is that if you have the one purse you can change out the make-up bags with different colors or prints to go with your outfits or however you feel that day and you can actually fold them up a bit for storage and they are much cheaper then buying a new purse. Since I only have the one make-up bag that would work I would like to get a couple more in different colors that would work so I am not stuck with Hot Pink all the time.

Also on a bit of a side note, my mother and I have already started to delve into the fun and exciting world of Halloween. Mom was doing something online yesterday and she called me up to see something. She had found the sheet music to Grim Grinning Ghosts. I was so excited that I hopped onto my magical flying broom and flew downstairs to the piano and started learning how to play it. I am currently on page 4 of 5. Maybe that will have to be another post to do for you guys sometime…

If you take this idea up send me a picture of what you’ve done!

If you have done anything similar tell me about it because I’d love to hear about it!

Book Suggestion: The Fallen Series by Lauren Kate. I am currently reading the third book of the series, Passion. On that note, go join my mother’s Challenge!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Oh geez. November was hectic, I had my play, Little Shop of Horrors to do, I was working towards my goal of 50k which sadly I only reached 28,678, Thanksgiving, and then in December I had Christmas decorating to do, along with a Christmas concert, and now Christmas take down. I have also had to do homework and cleaning up my room. Needless to say that I am a teenager so there was a lot of slacking off, and that time was spent reading online. I also got to hang out with Lane and Marty over break!! I had them both over for New Years…poor Marty…he was tortured by Lane and I, but that’s what he gets for going to college in Texas!! 🙂 When Lane came early for New Years she brought along some copies of the photo booth pictures the three of us had taken in the summer. And its hilarious how Marty and I look so much like a couple without even trying :P…we constantly laugh at how many people think Marty is dating either Lane or myself. Well, here are those pictures 🙂

Yeah……I tried pushing him out of the picture so he grabbed hold of my hands. Then when we had to pose for another picture he put me in a choke hold to get me to behave…it was kind of funny 😛 We got more while he was down for Christmas break, but Lane still needs to make copies of those. The new pictures are even worse then these…even more…couple-y.

Oh well! Hopefully your Holidays were awesome! You can see me as a Christmas tree on my mom’s blog, Life with Lorelai, and see more of her amazing ideas!

If you’re looking for anything good to read, go check out this website, and you can read books from any genre. I personally am in love with this website and it will be two years since I joined the sight in May.

NaNoWriMo Approach-eth!!!

NaNoWriMo Approach-eth!!!!

How do I know this? Well I happen to be an email subscribee to nanotoons.net, a website which posts daily cartoons relating to one particular subject, a fictional Nano group of hilarious characters and their journey through the NaNoWriMo process. Today I got an email informing me of a new post. I oh so eagerly clicked on the link, with my mother watching my child like glee as she impatiently waited for me to send an email out with my entry for a Pumpkin Carving Contest, to see the first in a month and a half long tale of this rag tag gang of people!

Today’s comic was another classic between Jen and Rob. Poor Rob…Jen forgot something big…and they are roommates!!! I guess NaNoWriMo will do that to you!! But anyways Jen got me thinking, as she obsessed over her lack of pre-nano organization skills and her non existent outline that maybe I should start on my Nano early for once! I have always done nano as a ‘by-the-seat-of-my-pants’ adventure, taking caution to the wind and throwing the rules out of the window! So I figured I would find an old idea, one that I had stored away for possible use for the next nano-ing season, but just after I found an idea that had been started a few months prior to today and worked on it a bit, this happened.

And this…

And yes……even the proverbial excuse of this….

yes…even a simple game of solitaire has distracted me… I have a feeling this nano-ing season I shall be very much like Anxious Jen, Social Rob, Serious Victoria, Boy-Crazy Bea, Crafty Andrew, Blogger Mel, Over-Zealous Fran, Moody Tim….and the most sinful of all….Annoying Ed, but all in all it looks to be like good times are fast coming!!! I even managed to rope my Best Friend Lane into coming to a couple of them with me!!! 😀

So I guess keep watch for any horror or comic stories over the next few weeks!!!!

I Am a Horrible Blog Poster

I probably should have mentioned this long ago, but I am absolutely horrible at writing blogs…I think I had two before these and each one didn’t last. The first one I lost my password and couldn’t remember it…the second one I lost access to because it was connected to my old email. When I made one connected to the blog I went to go change the email on the blog, but I couldn’t remember the password and when I went to my old email the password wasn’t working and somehow I had gotten locked out of email.

Believe it or not though this isn’t the longest I’ve gone without a post…6 months and 5 days is the record.

So…I should probably tell you some of the things that have happened since the last post…shouldn’t I…

Well…August I spent the week at my best friend Lane’s house watching movies, but after my last post my other best friend, Marty, moved down to Texas sop he could go to Baylor…the jerk…and school started up for me. Lane is currently trying to find a job. And then of course the traditional troubles with my Father, Christopher.

September brought on more challenges with Christopher that had to be dealt with, Auditions for the musical Little Shop of Horrors and I got the part of Mrs. Luce. so I have been dealing with rehearsals and I managed to learn my lines, a full college rule page worth of lines, in under 24 hours of getting my script. I still have yet to learn how to sing half of my lines, but that will come within the next week or so.  I hate math. I hate Homework. Sunday School started back up at my Church so I am there on Sundays from 9-12pm working with rambunctious, doughnut/sugar filled preschoolers who don’t always remember to use the bathroom, never watch out for where the teachers toes are, especially if the one who loves her flip-flops is right there, and can’t sit still throughout the entirety of story time for three hours. To top it off we normally had around 7 children maximuim…it is now the norm to have 8 children for Sunday school (compared to 1) and 12 for children’s church (compared to 5). Luckily for me my adorable God-Brother is one of my Children’s Church kids and I love him to death. Here is a picture from two Sundays ago!!! 😀

Preschool Kids-09/22/13

Starting from the Orange shirt Kid and going clockwise I’ll name them, the girl with the purple shirt in the back is my fellow teacher, Jake, Scott, Liam, Ian “Moose” Maverick ( I call him Maverick), Henry, Haven, James and Jackson. Jackson and Haven are siblings and Jackson and Henry have been friends since before all three of them were adopted from Uganda back in January!!! Henry has an Older sister Maria who was also adopted from Uganda. The siblings were taken in by two very nice loving families from our church and I am glad to have three of them in my class. I can always expect a giant Hug from Henry and Jackson whenever I see them!!! 😀

This past week has brought on new difficulties. I had a cold so all of my kid were wary of me, because I wore a mask,  until they heard my voice, or lack there of, and decided to tease me for the rest of the time. Henry and Jackson decided that I was an evil monster and that they were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Raphael and Leonardo. I would sit down and they’d tackle me to the ground, loving the fact that since I couldn’t talk above a low voice more then suitable for a prepubescent boy all that came out of my mouth when i tried to do a mini scream of surprise was this breathy nothingness. It was quite embarrassing, but then again I have done worse for these kids, which reminds me once again of my need for Jennifer to take a picture of me as Le Boing Boing. So besides that I have been stuck at home with a cough, sore throat, stuffy and runny nose and I have had to miss 2 rehearsals because I can’t get the rest of the cast sick.

I am also going to be participating in Rochelle Barlow’s Learn ASL in 31 days Blog project!!! No not as a featured writer, but as someone who is very interested in learning!!! Today is the second day so you wouldn’t have to much to catch up on since yesterday was just the alphabet!!! And I found out that some of the one’s for today I had already known!!! Those were, Stop, No, Yes, Please and Thank You!!!

Also I don’t think any of you can understand my immense joy of having this for a refrigerator: The Foodie Ghost

A foodie in his life time, he now spends his afterlife keeping the food, of two otherwise normal Huntington Beach natives, cold.

A foodie in his life time, he now spends his afterlife keeping the food, of two otherwise normal Huntington Beach natives, cold.

And this Cheeky little Peeping Tom: Seymour

Couldn't get enough of peeking in windows during his lifetime, he is now destined to live inside of a toilet, never fully being able to do anything but watch.

Couldn’t get enough of peeking in windows during his lifetime, he is now destined to live inside of a toilet, never fully being able to do anything but watch.

Lorelai and I found these wonderful ideas on Pinterst and we love them!!! although don’t go screaming bloody murder when you pass Seymour in the middle of the night like I did…He can be scary in the dark when you’re seeing him out of the corner of your eyes!!!

Speaking of Halloween? Have any of you gone to check out my Mother’s Pumpkin Carving Contest? No!!!!! In the word’s of my favorite Knight Bus Conductor, Come on, Come on, Get a Move on then!!! Also Go check out her Pumpkins from Halloween’s past!!! I am going to try and focus on getting my self linked up to things like Twitter, Pintrest and Facebook for you guys to have more access to me, but since I have already mentioned that I am an absolutely horrid blogger, I have no idea when that will happen…

As the month of October continues I will follow Rochelle’s Blog, I will continue with the rehearsal’s for Act 2 of Little Shop of Horrors, I WILL get over this cold, I will work on my dreaded Math and tedious Biology Homework, I will try and tame my absolutely annoying flyaway hair, I will work on editing my book ( I managed to finish chapter 15 of 25 yesterday), and I will try not to go insane of aggravation from both of my parents. I am also very happy to report that after 2 and a half years of no TV in our house Luke put up an Antenna and I can now watch some TV!!! I am very happy to have my Criminal Minds back!!!

Have a good week!!!! Read some books!!! Its fall after all!!! 😀

Gettin’ Crafty!!

I recently came up with the idea to add on to one of my previous crafts, but to begin I should do a little bit of explaining before I loose you all.

I write stories, have been since i was 11, and I got really serious about it two years ago this November. One of my stories, which I am currently editing to prepare to send of to a publisher, has a sequel already in the works and half way written, but there is one scene in that second book which talks a little bit about a character having made these embroidery floss bracelets. I decided to make these bracelets in real life. The first one is done and the second one being worked on…both of them have a characters name on it. About a week ago I found my embroidery bracelet box again with the half finished bracelet still taped to it and a though crossed my mind. Why not make a bracelet for each character!

I had a template that I made for the second bracelet somewhere within my Scrivener, a computer program that holds all of your stories if you are a writer, but I had forgotten where I put it. So I went online and looked at all the different styles of friendship bracelet making and how to do cool things with it, but I couldn’t find anything close to what I was looking for so once again I made my own template, this time in a notepad so I could find it again easily. I put the names into columns something like this….

Let’s just say it looked a lot better in my notepad, seeing as it actually looked like the letter A, but this was the basic template. I used the preview mode before publishing to try and make it look a little better, but there wasn’t much I could do. Putting everything side by side on the notepad, with a small space in between to distinguish where each started and ended, gave me a look at how long they’d be compared to other names…needless to say a three letter name is much shorter then a name with 10 letter in is. Eventually the look gave me an idea. I added more of the names to it and I smushed everything together into one single template. It could be kind of like a picture! As I thought more about the idea it suddenly dawned on me that Friendship bracelets curl beyond control because of the immobility of the material and how tightly the knots are made. So what could I use instead?

Yarn! What if I used yarn!! surely the material would be flexible enough to not curl and be more mold-able right!!! But how would I go about using the yarn as a substitute…surely there are differences when doing this sort of thing. So I went to the only place where you can find anything out. The Internet. Ironically enough though no one it seemed had ever though to use yarn instead of embroidery floss for friendship bracelets!!! Needless to say that for once the internet had let me down, but the idea still stands!! Once again I put on my ‘thinking cap’ and tried to figure something out.

Surely with the magnitude of how many strings across the top of the picture I would have to separate everything into pieces so I figured okay I can make strips out of this and find a way to tie it all together! Sounds simple, but a simple strip would still be on average 20 stitches across….a total of 40 strings with the method I would use, making this no longer a simple thing. I would have to have at least three separate knots at the top of a strip before braiding them all together…..and how much yarn would this take!!! At the rate this was going it was going to be about a quarter of the size of my mattress!!!!!!

Mattress? Mattress!!!! That’s it!!! I will make it larger!!! At least twice the size!!! I hadn’t even accounted the thickness difference between the two strings!!!! Add on the thickness of the yarn and the whole thing quadruples!!!! It would be big enough to cover up my mattress thereby giving me my solution!! I would make a blanket out of this!!! So suddenly this whole craft has gone from being bracelets, to being large bracelets, to being a picture, all the way to being a blanket!!!

I have no idea how much time, energy, ingenuity or money this is going to take…..but I am very excited!!!!!! I have my template all set out and ready for me, at least three colors, maybe more, but I have a feeling this is going to end up looking either really amazing or absolutely horrible!!!! Either way, if I get this finished, I am going to feel very proud that I completed such a large project!!!! Wish me luck!!! And if you can think of anything that would help my quest please let me know!!!!!!

TTFN!!!! Ta Ta For Now!!!!!!!

Home Remedy: Sunburns

Its a perfectly wonderful time at the pool, nothing could be better then taking a dive into a cool pool on a hot summers day, but its been four hours since you put on sunscreen and your euphoric state has left your mind empty of your mother’s constant warnings. Your skin is getting a bit warmer then normal, your face and shoulders feel a bit itchy when you move them and people are commenting that you look a bit pink.

You have now got a Sun Burn and it will only get worse as the day progresses, but what do you do?

Here is my helpful little tip that I found, and I have personally had to use it within the past week and my lobster red sunburn is already gone, leaving behind a bit of a tan.

What you need:

Tea Bags (any kind will work, or so I have found, but Peppermint works the best.)

2 Paper Towels

Aloe Cream or Gel (if available)

What to do:

1. Have two cups, fill one with some water and the other with some freshly brewed tea. it does not matter if the tea is still hot or not when you use it. Keep the tea bag off to the side to use later.

2. Take your paper towels and split them up into four, you will need them for specific uses.

3. Wet one of your four pieces of Paper Towels with the tea and let it soak through the whole thing. Wring it out just enough to keep it from dripping, but keep enough inside that when pressed some will still come out. You will then gently rub the towel over the affected area.

4. Repeat step 3, this time using a new paper towel piece and water.

5. Take your third piece of paper Towel and pat dry the affected area. The fourth piece is left to set everything on so that your counter doesn’t get to sticky or wet.

6. Perform steps 3-5 at least once more, but you can add a third or fourth time if you wish.

7. Once you have patted the area dry for the last time take your Aloe Vera Gel or Cream and gently rub this over the affected area. Aloe is a great healing agent and will help heal it faster.

None of this relives any of the pain right away, but you will see immediate reduction in the redness of skin and faster healing over all.

Just last Wednesday I had to use this after I went to a pool party and forgot to reapply after being in the water for two hours…by the end of the night I was as red as a lobster. I went home and immediately started doing this and only remembered towards the end of it that my father and I had bought some aloe cream that was supposed to soften the skin, but I knew aloe helped to heal so I put some of that on. Before I was even done that first night I could already see a visible reduction of redness and after doing it again the next morning you could see I was still a little pink, but my Mother’s Birthday pictures don’t even show it.

By Saturday all of the redness was gone and so was most of the pain, I still peeled on Sunday, but by that night everything was gone. I only had to deal with 3 days of pain and by the third it wasn’t even to bad. Try out this remedy and let me know how it works for you!! I hope I was able to relieve some of your Summer stress!!

Also, since I haven’t done this since my first post, if you are in the market for a good read I would suggest one of the following.

The Secret Garden by Frances Hogsden Burnett

The Little Princess by Frances Hogsden Burnett

The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

Happy Reading!!!

The Trip of a Lifetime!!!

The Trip of a Lifetime!!!

Every college kid plans on going down to see Mardi Gras first hand at some point in their life, right? well my best friend, Lane and I have been talking about our trip for over a year now and last night we managed to crank out some pretty good solid plans within three hours!!!

We figured we would make a whole big trip out of it and go on a road trip going through a total of 7 states so far, not including our home state of Sunny California…and while looking through Google map to see if there was a way to save it…I found this!!!

An embed-able map that you can post onto your site!!!! I originally had the first and last two destinations as Lane and I’s address but to keep all you little stalkers away I put it as Orange County.

We put along our route some famous places to visit.

Las Vegas, Nevada

The Grand Canyon

The Four Corners

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Amarillo, Texas

Our best friend Marty’s College to be, Baylor University

Houston, Texas

and finally,

The French Quarter!!

We have a few stops along the way that we want to make as well, for instance, Lane has been addicted to the show Diners, Drive In and Dives and we plan on stopping at a few of those places if they are along our way. We are also going to go paint balling at Aggression Paintball in Amarillo either on the trip there or on the trip back depending on what days we would be passing through there.

We also hope to have my Father, Christopher, help us out a little bit by maybe using the family discount at hotels under the command of his hotel’s chain, Starwood. It is going to take quite a lot of money which we will start budgeting how much we might need soon and we are going to try and pay for this all by ourselves. It is going to take a while…what I estimate to be about 15 days…but it should be one of our favorite memories ever. We plan on having a lot of fun!! Hopefully we can crank out our budget soon!!!

2:00 am…….Post. Of. TERROR!!!!!!

Let me tell you all a tale…..A tale of horror…..A tale that will chill you to the bone…..

Our story begins in a young teenage girl’s bedroom. She is lying there all comfy, pillows propped up and the bed coming undone a bit from movement, she has her laptop in her lap as she sits there multitasking. The year: Two Thousand and Thirteen. The Time: 12:42 pm, a time that shall live in infamy. As this young girl sits on her computer, messaging a friend on Face Book and reading on her favorite book sharing website, she has no clue of the danger that awaits her when she finally decides to go to bed. She says goodnight to her friend, Marty. She finishes reading a chapter on her newest read. She gets ready to close the computer before she can get tempted to read some more. Placing the computer on a nearby table that she has had since she was a child to play on she prepares her desk to hold the clothes she has had at the foot of the bed all day. Picking up small piles she sees no harm in the first two batches, but it is the third that makes her scream.

For out of this measly pile of a pair of jeans and a shirt comes jumping out a huge, thick bodied, black spider. The girl drops the clothes with a shriek that is foreign to her ears. Normally the case being she gasps and backs away, she was surprised that she had uttered the sound, but then again not as surprised as the fact that the spider jumped from a mere inch from her hand back onto her bed. Thoughts go racing through her head as she stands there frozen, staring at the creature that had caused her heart to race and was still making it beat as furiously. Did she touch it? Did it come close to crawling on her hand? Did it crawl on either of the feet that she had near the clothes? What on Earth was she going to do to get rid of it?

Suddenly her mind was made up as the thing that held her terror started to crawl back towards her clothes, wanting to hid in the folds of the semi warm cloth to avoid the light. She raced to the bathroom, flicking on the light, and grabbed a Kleenex from the box on the tank of the toilet. Rushing back to her room she could see that the spider had almost made it to her destination. Holding back her terror until she could get rid of the accursed thing, she quickly snatched the creature off her bed, only to have to drop the tissue onto the floor.

The girl had found upon closer inspection that when she had grabbed the arachnid from her sheets she hadn’t fully grasped him and he was about to crawl onto her thumb. After throwing the tissue to the ground the black spot moved out from underneath it in a hurry. The girl knew she had to act quickly before he disappeared somewhere inside of her room. She picked up the tissue once more and grasped the spider firmly in her clutches. She heisted for only a moment before running into the bathroom and flicking up the lid of the toilet. She tried to throw the tissue into the bowl, but it wasn’t wanting to leave her fingers. The girl barely managed to keep her hand over the water as the creature body fell inside, closely followed by the tissue. Before anything else could happen she flushed it, sending it to it’s watery grave.

The girl walked back inside the room she had come from, afraid of what else lurked on her bed. She grabbed her blanket and ran to her father’s old room to spend the night as she had a few nights prior. She thought back on the recent events in her life. She had been terrified by a total of five spiders within two weeks, two of them being Daddy Long Legs while the rest were the thick bodied ones she had encountered that night. The first to attack was a daddy long leg, jumping out at her as she tried to open the door to her garage and upon failure of landing upon her hand immediately jumped back to the cutting boards. That night ended after an hour long battle against the creature, ending when he made the fatal mistake of going to the sink drain where the Girl scalded him to death.

The next terror filled night had been only three days ago when the second Daddy long leg had crawled up her arm, surprising her into breaking a glass of fruit juice. When the girl had relocated after picking up all of the glass she went to her room, only to find a thick bodied spider upon her ceiling. Terrified after the first encounter of the night she relocated once again to her mother’s room. Shortly after her arrival there another thick bodied spider made itself known to her and she had to move into what she believed was the last hold out, her father’s room.

She had had five run ins with spiders in the past two weeks, three of them she was convinced were attacks upon her person. As the girl sat on her father’s bed, pillows propped up, a blanket underneath her to protect the uncovered mattress, and typing away on her computer, more thoughts plagued her mind. Could their be another one waiting for her in here? Could she met with one tomorrow while hanging out with one of her friends? Would she be able to sleep at all tonight? But the one thing that plagued her mind most of all was that if these past two weeks had shown anything the spiders were upping their attacks and if they showed themselves again after three days, just how soon was it until their next attack? Dun Dun DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that is the end of my tale of the past two hours and thus the conclusion to my 2:00 am………Post. Of. TERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What’s in your bed tonight?………
