Start Anew

So…how to start a new blog…

Well my name is Rory, a 17 year old girl on the verge of a new part in her life. My Mother, Lorelai, started a blog a few days ago on the premise of needing a place to vent. Tonight she asked me if I wanted to take a look at her blog to see what I thought, and coincidentally I was on my way downstairs to turn Gilmore Girls on and go to her blog. A thought suddenly occurred. Why not make a partner to her blog, we can comment on each other’s as Lorelai and Rory and not have to worry so much about our anonymity being ruined.

I will be using this blog to vent and praise, to heal and calm, to gab and not worry about how loud or long I talk. I might even have to post little tidbits of news from my new life as a College kid! It’s sure to full of twists and turns, even if i will still be living at home and going to a Community College ten minutes from my house.

I will be starting in the fall to become a preschool teacher, so you might get some funny stories of preschool kids when I have to get my in-field experience. My mother and I have recently been cast off into the world, My mother is soon to be divorced, separated for close to four years and we are on our own, my father having moved out last weekend and my brother away at College.

We, Lorelai and I, pride ourselves in claiming that we are exactly like the fictional characters  Lorelai and Rory Gilmore from the famous show, among any mother daughter duo from the early 2000’s, The Gilmore Girls. I even recently noticed that in Rory’s College days she had a Eiffel Tower lamp in her Dorm at Yale and my mother bought me one for Christmas this year!

I also suggest reading Magesterium by Jeff Hirsh….I am part way through, but so far i have only advanced a chapter since i received an advanced copy in October and managed to read 20 chapters
